President's Message
We are blessed with many new volunteers joining our core group and the results are already impressive!
Our biennial Council debate in partnership with the Farmington Exchange Club was especially successful with a very informative candidate discussion and 3 times the typical audience size. The first TPZ forum is scheduled for mid-October. This has been a great success organized by our Government Committee Chair and Chamber VP Bill Neagus (Principal of Strategic Persuasion Group).
We funded and participated in the production of web based video of the Town of Farmington for posting to the Town’s and Chamber’s web sites. The Chamber’s Economic Development Committee Chair Courtney Hendricson (also the Town’s Economic Development Manager) finished the multi-module project early and on budget!
We launched our new web site platform in December that dramatically improves the Chamber’s ability to assist its members in many new and exciting ways. For instance, several “Member Moments”, one of our video interviews, are expected to be posted as early as January. We are thrilled to be able to better cover existing programs and to develop new spotlights of member successes and strengths. This is a big success for new Board Member and Communications Chair Cara Britton (principal in CT Liberty Mortgage) who volunteered many hours to work through the details. She donated her extensive expertise to build a vibrant and member focused web and social media package. Content is now the opportunity. Need to network with business owners? Gather content. Interview decision makers and meet the right people!
There is much more to come during the next few years. Become involved by working for yourself through the Farmington Chamber. Stop missing so much!

"We've been a member of Farmington Chamber member since 2005. This is a great Chamber and we've met many dynamic businesses as well as provided our services."
